Archangels, Spirituality and the Paranoramal...

(http://www.openyourhearts.com/ascended.htm, 1995.) The Ascended Masters are enlightened beings who serve all of the universe and creation with their wisdom and love. (This reference and much more can be found on the above website).

From my point of view regarding spirituality I believe that there are Human Beings in this world that are highly intuitive which basically means that they are in tuned with their surroundings. These abilities are what i like to call 'gifts of God' these gifts allow people to see into the spirit world and most people with these gifts are also privy to visions and other paranormal events that occur. A person does not have to be religious or to even believe in God to have insight into the paranormal. When a person had such gifts you would imagine that they would need to have some kind of belief or faith in a higher power ,God or Spirit, apparently that is not the case.
Centuries ago people who were Psychic or clairvoyant were considered to be witches or evil and they were killed for having the ability to see things that were not of the norm in those times.
The reactions to Psychic or clairvoyants nowadays is very different although they are not hung or burnt for their beliefs the skepticism is still very much alive and well - which in my opinion comes from the majority that either have no comprehension of spirituality, or fear the things that are unknown to them.

The knowledge of Angels have been around for centuries, they were not always known as angels they were also called spirits, beings, apparitions and ghost is the funniest. They appear in every religion, there is no religion (at least among the major ones) that does not contain some reference to these special celestial beings. They seem to be above scrutiny, uniting all religions in a universal belief. Greek, Egyptian, and Roman mythology feature an assortment of winged creatures.
There are a diverse range of people who have seen, or been saved or visited by angels and they would say that before then they did not believe in angels at all.
I know that those of you that may read my blog will ask...does this person believe in what they are writing?
And with the utmost confidence and sincerity yes, i do! How could I write about something so controversial without some kind of a belief system behind the drive. Sometimes you just have to be staunch in the things you believe in!
I knew i was different from the age of 7 years old, when i saw something that i could not explain i was scared, but not terrified like you see on tv. I described what i saw to my dad he comforted me and assured me that what i saw was not me 'being crazy', but that i was special. Whatever! When i was younger it was more of a hindrance having visions i certainly did not feel very special and sometimes I felt like i was going mad.
Twenty years ago spirituality was not an open subject as it is today I had no-one to help me understand what i was experiencing so i turned to alcohol to try and erase the visions from my mind. It took alot of alcohol to keep the visions at bay, it did not get rid of them by the way and to top it all off I became a 'damn' alcoholic retrived from About.com, (2009)
I would like to mention here...for those of you who are experiencing the same or similar to what i experienced you need to seek out individuals or organisations that can help you with your 'gifts', but DO NOT turn to mind altering aides as they make things much, much worst for yourself.
There are some really good spiritual teachers out there but beware of the 'energy zappers' Written by K. Stone, (n.d.) of Life Learning Today these leeches are people or daily life that feeds off your inner/spiritual energies once that happens you are left totally drained and depleted this occurs when a person is constantly trying to dominate your time and self...'very exhausting for real!'

Anyway the Paranormal retrived from http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/ (Design v9.212 © 2001-2009 Unexplained-Mysteries.com) and I get along much better now and without alcohol and as long as my visions do not interfere with my Human Being(ness) retrived on September 28, (2009) from http://www.becominghuman.org/. In return, I stand up for my beliefs & my faith in my higher power, I take care of my inner spirit by not allowing others to drain and abuse my energy and by keeping my morals and integrity entact this allows me to ROCK to the beat of the drum...of LIFE!!
I know that there are others out there that are also spiritually inclined for an example; Kelvin Cruickshank, retrieved August 19, (2009). from http://www.kelvincruickshank.co.nz/, he did a programme communicating with spirits called Sensing Murder, retrieved on August 19, (2009) from http://www.sensingmurder.co.nz/thepsychics.html i would definitely class that as being highly in tuned with spirits...wouldn't you? 1. There are a number of programmes on TV at the moment involving psychics or clairvoyants. What do you think of these?

  2. Firstly,I would like to say that it is unfortunate how psychics & clairvoyants are portrayed as being 'spirit mongers' and other names. I am guessing from a genuine place there are some people out there in the world whom are genuine Light-Workers (people that are here to heal.) However to answer your question more directly! In my opinion as long as those that identify themselves as being psychics or clairvoyants keep to the code; That they use what their Higher Power gave them for the well-being of all in their surroundings and environment. If those that are in the media right now are there to help others than that is acceptable. 'I mean... really come on what harm can they do?
My grandmother use to say "Be more afraid of the living than the dead!" 'Actually come to think of it she was a spooky old woman!'

  3. Very good, personal blog. In relation to Darryl's question what do you think about psychics and clairvoyants and how they are portrayed through media? Do you think that the media has helped the acceptance of this belief?

  4. To Flannel Boy. Most definitely I believe the media has a great deal to do with the acceptance of psychics and clairvoyants nowdays. There are more movies and tv programmes such as 'Touched by an angel', sensing murder, The prophecy which have all contributed to the awareness of spirituality. And that is absolutely fantastic, as i said in my blog there are others out there that have a gift, they either do not understand it or who to connect with or are afraid of what they have, but that fear 'people' comes with not having a true understanding.

  6. Well-conceived blog you've got here, Rina!

I am also fairly new to this paranormal/supernatural world, and found your commentary on the topic both informed and insightful.

I also find the visual styling highly engaging, with excellent links located just a click away.

My only critique of your blog concerns the lack of APA-style referencing, though I don't believe you wanted any "outside" opinions to shape your personal reflections.

This may be why you chose to omit any from your completed blog.

But that pales in comparison to your high level of research and exhibition of personality, each of which is visible throughout your work.

Keep up the great work, as I'll certainly be reading it!
